During this TOKVIL session we were supposed to continue on the SDG work.
We remained discussing however with our speaker David Stulík, Senior Analyst of the European Values Center for Security Policy, Prague. He is the author of a booklet about the Czech response of the civil society towards COVID19 and this booklet is used as an example of working together in other countries.
Some highlights of the conversation:
- civil society AND experts from opposition are participating in the emergency crisis group of the Czech government
this civil society are non organised citizens that have started prototyping in 3D printed models to create breathing machines, masks, etc... due to their actions they have been included in the overall response.
- contact tracing app: developed in open source, deployed by the army in certain area of the Czech republic
